CitizensUK Trainings for Emerging Leaders

Emerging Leader training strengthened the confidence, community organising skills, and empathetic listening of CIC Founders, helping us better understand collective power, structure effective CIC governance, and grow supportive networks—greatly shaping how we lead, strategise, and serve our Hong Kong migrant community.

Additionally, it equips CIC Core Volunteers with the confidence and skills to lead. Participants explore values, self-interest, and motivation while developing listening, storytelling, and teamwork skills. The programme supports personal growth, resilience, and the ability to inspire and mobilise others to take meaningful action in their communities.

Community Organising training introduces the core craft of organising in depth. Volunteers explore how power works, how to negotiate effectively, and how leadership is built through relationships. The training covers self-interest and the full cycle of action, equipping participants with practical skills to plan, deliver, and sustain successful community campaigns.
