A Fairer Pathway to Settlement, by Be Well HKers CIC
Stronger Well-being & Resilience
We support Hong Kong migrants to improve mental and physical well-being through workshops, peer support, and practical skills, helping individuals navigate migration, uncertainty, and life transitions with confidence.
Empowered Volunteers
Our training equips volunteers with first aid, emotional support, and community leadership skills, enabling them to respond early to wellbeing needs and support others safely and compassionately.
Connected Communities
By creating safe, inclusive spaces such as Be Well Hub and Be Well Café, we reduce isolation, encourage belonging, and strengthen trust and mutual support within the local community.
Positive Community Contribution
Participants are empowered to give back through volunteering and civic engagement, generating measurable social value and reinforcing Sutton as a welcoming place to live, care, and call home.

Dear fellow community members of Hong Kongers in Sutton,
On behalf of Citizens UK, I want to express my deepest condolences following the devastating fire in Tai Po and feel deeply for the people of Hong Kong. Our hearts are with the families who have lost loved ones, with those who have been injured, and with everyone whose lives have been shaken by this tragedy.
Today, we stand in solidarity with our Hong Konger neighbours here in the UK, many of whom are deeply affected by the news from home. We know that when disaster strikes thousands of miles away, the pain is carried across borders. It lives in the hearts of families, friends, and communities who are trying to understand and endure what has happened.
May you find support in the people around you, and may this community hold you through this difficult time. We also recognise the courage of responders and all who are working tirelessly to support survivors. Their dedication reminds us that even in moments of deep sorrow, compassion can rise and bring light into the darkest situations.
Let us continue to stand together — to listen, to support, and to walk alongside all who are suffering. In times like these, unity and kindness matter more than ever.
Thank you.
Kes Gill Martin
